Prominent Black, Latino, Asian and LGBT Groups to Demand Justice for Sean Bell, Trent Benefield & Joseph Guzman

Demonstration Planned for Noon, Saturday at Union Square

Peoples’ Justice – a broad coalition of New York City grassroots organizations - is calling for a rally at 12 pm noon at Manhattan’s Union Square Park on Saturday, March 17, 2007, in response to the Grand Jury’s announcement of a decision in the case of Sean Bell, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield.

Immediately following Queens District Attorney, Richard Brown’s announcement of the Grand Jury’s decision in this case on Monday, March 19, members of People’s Justice will join City Councilmember, Charles Barron, and the families of other police brutality victims at a noon press conference in front of the Queens D.A.’s office at 125-01 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens, Queens.
