NEW YORK -- In Union Square, the indictment of three police officers in the Sean Bell shooting was the focus of a protest rally Saturday afternoon, NewsChannel 4 reported.

The group Peoples' Justice protested the news that a Queens grand jury chose to indict only three of the five officers who fired their weapons during the November shooting.

In a police barrage of 50 shots, Bell was killed and two friends were injured on his wedding day. All three men had exited Bell's bachelor party at a Queens nightclub and were unarmed at the time.

Sources told NewsChannel 4 that two of the officers will likely face manslaughter charges and the third, a lesser charge of reckless endangerment.

The indictments will be unsealed on Monday, and the charges will be officially announced then.
